Gavin Wimsatt - Quarterback

Wimsatt was to come in and be the backup and change-of-pace quarterback from the very beginning. He was thrust into more and more roles as starter Brock Vandagriff struggled with injuries and poor play at various times in the season. Wimsatt did not seize those opportunities. He only reminded Kentucky fans why he was the backup in the first place. He's now moving on again to a new destination in the 2025 transfer portal.

Kristian Story - Defensive Back

Story was a great addition in the transfer portal cycle. He was a highly coveted recruit out of high school and left Alabama with the Nick Saban departure. He chose to come to Kentucky and play in the defensive back rotation for the Wildcats. He was one of the better players out of this transfer portal class. He recorded 28 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception. He was part of why the Kentucky Wildcats started the year with a high defensive grade.
