Bobby Bones throws shade at Kentucky — but BBN's coming to Fayetteville with receipts
Bobby Bones had jokes. The Arkansas radio host and Razorback diehard tossed a familiar jab at Kentucky fans on The Bobby Bones Show, saying hundreds of Kentucky fans show up with only six teeth between them. And just for laughs named BBN the worst fanbase.

Classic SEC banter—or tired insult? Either way, Big Blue Nation didn’t flinch. They’ve heard it all before. From rotted-teeth jokes to horse-farm stereotypes, Kentucky fans have been punching bags for decades—and still pack arenas better than anyone in the conference. That joke may have been funny when Arkansas was last relevant, that's how old it is.
But this time, the quip lands with a little extra spice. Why? Because the man now coaching Bones’ beloved Razorbacks is none other than John Calipari, the architect of Kentucky’s last national title and the face of the program for 15 years. And on January 18, 2025, Calipari and Arkansas will host Mark Pope’s Wildcats in a game that drips with drama, shade, and storyline.
It’s the only SEC meeting between the two teams this season, and it’s going to be electric.
Bud Walton Arena will be packed to the rafters, mostly with Kentucky fans. Because when else is it full?
Underneath the fun, there’s a showdown coming that means something. Pope, in just his second year at the helm, has rekindled belief in Lexington. His Wildcats play fast, physical, and proud—fitting the program’s legacy like a tailored suit.
Arkansas, meanwhile, is trying to reclaim its relevance under Calipari. And for all the noise around his exit from Lexington, make no mistake: this game will matter even more to him than last year's. He helped build the Big Blue beast—and now he’ll try to beat it.
So let Bobby Bones joke. Let the fans trade barbs. That’s what makes the SEC great. But when the ball tips in Fayetteville, this won't be about teeth or talk.
It’ll be about two programs—one trying to prove it still runs the league, the other trying to prove it ever did.
Side note-trash talk is all in good fun, we all should enjoy a little laugh now and again.
