No reason for Kentucky fans to relive 2024
Let’s be honest—we lived it. The 2023 Kentucky football season had some high points, but the lowlights? They were historically bad. And Netflix’s new docuseries “SEC Football: Any Given Saturday” puts it all on full display.
Especially Episode 7. It’s a full-speed crash course into Kentucky’s brutal 41–14 loss to Louisville.
So unless you’re a glutton for punishment, here are four things BBN should stream instead:
4 alternatives to fill your time
1. Happy Gilmore 2 (Netflix)

Is it good cinema? Not really. Is it hilarious, nostalgic, and perfect for escaping reality? Absolutely. Adam Sandler returns as Happy, now a middle-aged dad with a prodigy daughter and no golf swing. But when life throws him a curveball, he picks up the clubs one last time. Shooter McGavin’s back too—and somehow even better. You can check out the action here.
2. The Expanse (Amazon Prime)

Need a sci-fi fix with substance? “The Expanse” might be the best science fiction show of the last 15 years. Think political intrigue meets space battles, mixed with an ensemble cast that sticks the landing. Bonus: Captain James Holden > any SEC head coach in terms of leadership. Find all season streaming here.
3. Stick (Apple TV+)

You want sports drama? Try Owen Wilson as a washed-up golf pro who stumbles upon a teen phenom. It’s heartfelt, funny, and actually kind of deep. Marc Maron steals scenes, and there’s just enough grit to make the final act hit. See how it all plays out here.
4. King of the Hill Revival (Hulu)

The Hills are back, baby. Bobby’s grown up, Hank’s semi-retired, and Peggy is still Peggy. It’s modern Americana through the lens of propane and dry humor. Surprisingly poignant, and perfect to fill the hole left by SEC heartbreak. All you need is Hulu and to click here.
Or hey, if you're really feeling bold, go ahead and fire up “Any Given Saturday.” Just do yourself a favor—skip Episode 7.
