The transfer portal has officially closed, but that's only for entries, not for exits. A bunch of players in the portal have yet to choose their next destination, and Kentucky needs to chase a few of them down and get them on the 2025 roster. Last week, before the portal closed, we did an article on "5 players that Kentucky football should target in the transfer portal," and all five of those players are still in the portal. However, with no desire to repeat that list, here are four other players who are still in the portal that Kentucky should try to grab.

1. Hardley Gilmore - WR (Kentucky)

If possible, the Wildcats should do their best to recruit Gilmore back to the team. Some reporters and insiders think there's a chance that this will happen. He was a player that they wanted to build around and develop next year's off-season attack featuring him. It makes sense why he left; Kentucky is bad while he is good, his wide receiver coach left for Nebraska, and some of his receiver teammates also left.

2. Fa'alili Fa'amoe - LT (Washington State)

It looks like Kentucky may have missed on left tackle Shiyazh Pete in the portal. It's been predicted by 24/7 sports that he's going to Vanderbilt. Therefore, Kentucky needs a left tackle badly. They have recruited right tackles but haven't grabbed a player with left tackle experience. Fa'amoe is the best left tackle in the portal. However, Kentucky does not seem to be in on him; they should be, though.

3. Holden Staes - TE (Tennessee)

The Kentucky Wildcats need a pass-catching tight end. They have brought in one tight end via the portal, but he is almost exclusively a blocking tight end. Staes is now looking for his third school after transferring from Notre Dame to Tennessee and is now back in the market. It doesn't seem that Kentucky is after him, but he would be a huge pick-up for the Wildcats.
