After dominating against Florida, Kentucky football went to Athens, laid an egg, and lost 51-13 against #1 Georgia. Now the season is on the line against Missouri in Lexington.

These 3 players must step up for Kentucky football in week 7 against the Missouri Tigers.

1. Barion Brown:

Brown was injured coming into the game against Georgia; the stats still say he was not up to par. With another week to get back on track, Brown should be much closer to 100%. Let’s hope he can be good enough to play against Missouri because this game can determine a lot heading into the BYE week.

2. Alex Afari Jr.:

Multiple players on this defense can be on the list. Afari was very quiet against Georgia; he only had two tackles in the embarrassing loss to the Bulldogs. Afari could have introduced himself to the country, but instead, that will be saved for another week.

3. J.J. Weaver:

As I said in the previous comment, many players deserve to be on this list. I will go with Weaver because he is a special player and he was quiet against the Bulldogs. Weaver also only had two tackles in that loss. Kentucky’s defense needs a bounce-back game against Mizzou and Weaver will be a big part of that.

The Cats have a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on SEC Network against the Missouri Tigers. This can easily be the game that determines what the rest of the season will look like. Everyone wants to see how Kentucky football responds to a loss like that.
