Kentucky football suffered its first loss of the season against No. 1 Georgia in week 6, 51-13. Up until the loss, UK had breezed through its non-conference schedule and came away with two convincing wins to start SEC play. However, the Bulldogs proved to be the much better team in that matchup.

On Saturday, the Wildcats will look to get back on track against another 5-1 team in Missouri. The Tigers are coming off a 49-39 loss against the LSU Tigers, and already boast a few good wins against Kansas State and Memphis.

Our best indication is that today’s game will be a close one. Both Missouri and Kentucky football have wins over Vanderbilt, each by 17 points. It’s as even as a matchup as there gets, with both teams looking to lock up bowl eligibility with a win on Saturday night.

For Kentucky football, it will be about putting last week’s game behind them. Missouri had a more emotional loss, but the Wildcats were embarrassed by Georgia. Those can be tough games to respond to, but Kentucky has to put last week behind them and look ahead to Saturday night in Lexington.
