Kentucky football took down Ball State, 44-14, and that leads them to the most important time of the season. Between week 1 and week 2, it is known for being the biggest improvement time for every football team. The Wildcats are now taking on an Eastern Kentucky team that lost 66-13 to the Cincinnati Bearcats last Saturday.

Here are three players that need to step up in week 2.

1. Tayvion Robinson:

Many people know Robinson is the third receiver behind Barion Brown and Dane Key. Robinson could easily be the reason Kentucky football wins multiple games this season. In week 1, he was solid, with 3 receptions for 38 yards. We are all hoping Robinson gets back to even better form and puts up some bigger numbers.

2. Deone Walker:

Walker can easily be one of the best defensive linemen Kentucky football has ever had, but he had a slow start in week 1, only getting 2 total tackles. We all know he will be a massive player by the time the SEC schedule comes out. A big game against Eastern Kentucky would be ideal.

3. Devin Leary:

I know Leary did not particularly have a bad game against Ball State, but he did not have the best game. He completed 58.1% of his passes for 241 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. The UK coaching staff will hope he has a much better game against an Eastern Kentucky defense that he should be able to carve up.
