1. Jared Lorenzen

Passing stats: 10,354 yards, 78 TD, 41 INT

Lorenzen came smack in the middle of Couch and Woodson, which is still one of the best succession lines of quarterbacks any school can imagine having.

A four-year starter from 2000-03, Lorenzen came in year one as a gunslinger, passing for 3,687 yards, 19 TDs, and 21 INTs. Surprisingly, he never came close to that many yards again, partially due to a QB competition with Shane Boyd in 2001.

Lorenzen’s frame allowed him to bulldoze over defenders and affect the running game in a positive way. And despite his passing yards never again coming close to that freshman season, Lorenzen finished out with a string of three straight 20+ TD seasons. He remains first all-time in passing yards, and second all-time in passing TDs in Kentucky football history.

Sadly, Lorenzen passed at the age of 38 due to health problems. His legacy lives on in Lexington.
