As a Seton Hall alumnus, I’m gloating right now. The Wildcats are by far the superior basketball program, but the Pirates have the better head-to-head record.

I was at the last matchup, when Seton Hall knocked off Kentucky in their backyard at Madison Square Garden in 2018. The Wildcats were ranked 8th, but Myles Powell and the Pirates won an overtime classic to pull off the upset.

Kentucky won the previous matchup by three points, in a game that was played in Anchorage, Alaska of all places.

But before that, in 1981, Seton Hall was on the winning side, 98-74. Kentucky was ranked 2nd in the country. Needless to say, a ranked Kentucky basketball team should probably stay away from Seton Hall.
