Georgetown has had some pretty dark days, but it wasn’t always like that. 101 years ago, in 1922, the Hoyas won 28-23 over the Wildcats.

My how times have changed.

Then, in the 1984 Final Four (Georgetown won the championship that year) the Hoyas topped the Wildcats, 53-40. Of course, Georgetown had Patrick Ewing in that game, who is right up there with any of the Kentucky greats.

The teams haven’t played since, but who knows, with Ed Cooley hoping to change the culture in D.C., maybe this will be a non-conference matchup soon.
