Kentucky baseball looks to reset after an 0-4 week that led to the Wildcats falling out of the D1Baseball.com Top 25 Poll.

After starting 27-3, Kentucky baseball can’t seem to buy a win, losing 10 of their last 13 games. That hit an all-time low last week, as the Wildcats went 0-4, losing a game to Louisville and all three games of a series with Vanderbilt.

The Wildcats had chances to come up with a few wins, falling to No. 5 Vanderbilt by two runs in game one, and 3-2 in game three. However, they couldn’t rise to the occasion and are in desperation mode to try and finish out the regular season strong.

Kentucky has now moved down into a tie for 6th place in the SEC. Only the top four teams receive a bye in the SEC Tournament, something the Wildcats can still earn with a strong finish.

If Kentucky baseball wants to turn its season back in the right direction, it isn’t going to come easy this week. The Gamecocks are the No. 3 ranked team in the country and have won five out of their last seven games.

The Wildcats could take advantage of being at home for this series. UK is an unbelievable 20-4 in Lexington this season. Meanwhile, five of South Carolina’s eight losses have come on the road.

Only 10 games remain on Kentucky’s regular season schedule, with 9 of them as conference games.

Despite the recent struggles, the 30-win Wildcats are still on pace for their most wins in a season since they went 43-23 in 2017.
