Kentucky baseball went 2-2 last week, dropping in the D1Baseball.com Top 25 poll, but staying in the top 15.

Last week, Kentucky baseball managed to go .500, taking down Xavier in a non-conference matchup before losing two of three games against Texas A&M. The results drop the Wildcats to 30-9 on the season, with an 11-7 record in the SEC.

The Wildcats steamrolled the Musketeers, winning 13-2. Kentucky got off to a 4-0 start in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed, scoring a least a run in all but two innings. Jackson Gray led the way with 3 hits, while Hunter Gilliam had 2 home runs and 6 RBIs.

Kentucky would drop its next two games against Texas A&M, in a doubleheader on Saturday. However, they came back to take the last game of the series, 8-1. That win was crucial, as it keeps Kentucky baseball in a tie for fourth place in the SEC with Arkansas and Florida.

This week, Kentucky will face off against its biggest rival, before a key 3-game series against one of the SEC’s best.
