It was a sad day. It was a bad day. The Kentucky basketball team had their first primetime challenge of the season and came up just short in a 86-77 double-OT battle. Michigan State has proven to be a threat even before this matchup after losing by 1 to Gonzaga last week. However, this was supposed to be the comeback tour for Cal and the Cats.
There’s no question that BBN is one of the most passionate and vocal fanbases in the entire country. There were times during the game when you could hear the trademark “Go Big Blue!” echoing through Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. So it should be of no surprise that the BBN had plenty to say on social media after the heartbreaking loss.
The Bad
When you have the most vocal fanbase in the country, that means a lot of voices will be heard. In moments like these, it’s usually the bad and the ugly that can be heard from Pikeville to Paducah. Let’s check in on some of BBN that weren’t ready for the tough loss.
Think I just figured out why our offense was so stagnant down the stretch. #bbn pic.twitter.com/N2uxoHx2xz

You are correct coaching matters and for Kentucky it’s the same garbage bad free-throw shooting, stagnant offended, nonexistent defense and excuses from one of the highest paid coaches in the country. 🤡

Some can roll with the punches, while others continue to stoke the fire of Calipari’s underperforming teams from the last two seasons. It hasn’t been all roses for the basketball or football program of the Bluegrass.
Same issues every single year, nothing changes

Looking like it’s going to be another year of great recruiting and non coaching.

It seems as if the program is living in the actual meme of the dog sitting at the table while his house is on fire, saying, “everything is fine.” The loss stings, that’s no question, but friends and family, the sky shall not be falling just yet.
The comeback is always greater than the setback. BBN should not be up in arms over this loss, but being frustrated is completely understandable. Don’t sulk over the loss for too long. The Cats will be right back in action this Thursday when they take on South Carolina State at Rupp Arena. Plenty of ball left in this young season. Believe in these Cats.
