No. 5 Chris Rodriguez had to work for every yard against the Tigers

Whether it’s the two or three yards Kentucky football needs or a sudden burst of excitement Chris Rodriguez will give that to you and he had to work hard for every one of those against Missouri.

He didn’t cross the goalline with the ball in this game, but the Cats were thankful for the 29 times he carried the ball racking up 112 hard-earned yards.

One run with the Cats back up inside their 10-yard line he burst through the line for 25 yards giving them breathing room.

This was the 18th 100-yard game of his career, and he hit the century mark for the third time in five games this season, which ties Sonny Collins for second place on the UK career list. Against Vanderbilt next week he should get one more that would tie him with Benny Snell Jr. for the most all-time with 19.

Had he not missed those first four games to start the season Rodriguez would have been racking up even more impressive numbers. But there is still Vandy, Georgia, Louisville and a bowl game to add to the totals.
