After a dominant victory over Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse, the 17-4 #5 Kentucky Wildcats look to keep the good times rolling as they host the 11-9 Vanderbilt Commodores at 7:00 PM EST. WynnBET has the Wildcats as 15-point favorites and -1450 on the moneyline (bet $145 to win $10) while the over-under is 142.

Here’s how we’re betting tonight’s game:

Kentucky vs Vanderbilt Prediction

At 8-2 in their last ten, the Wildcats look every part of a national title contender. They have the 4th-best adjusted offensive efficiency in the country and 24th-best defensive efficiency. Scoring at least 80 points in four of their last five, their offense is clicking.

Vanderbilt, meanwhile, is just 1-6 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven as their offense has gone cold. Their last game against a terrible Georgia defense was their first time in four tries they’ve scored more than 61. With the 187th-ranked 2-point shooting percentage and 249th-ranked 3-point percentage, they don’t have the scorers to support their 50th-best defense in adjusted efficiency.

One may thing that means Kentucky is a slam dunk bet on the spread. But alas, this is a potential let-down spot for a Wildcats team that was just 1-5 ATS in their previous six road games before Saturday’s win.

Instead, the total is where value lies for bettors today. The under is 6-1 in the Commodores’ last seven and 5-2 in Kentucky’s last seven road games. With a blowout expected, Kentucky will be able to slow down the pace and earn some rest after a stretch of excellent competition that included Auburn, Texas A&M and Tennessee in addition to Kansas.

Vanderbilt ranks 256th in adjusted tempo so they’ll have no problem playing slow, and Kentucky’s 308th-ranked offensive free throw rate means we won’t see a lot of easy points at the charity stripe either.

I’ll take the under 142 (-110) as the Commodores’ won’t be able to score and the Wildcats can relax a bit.

I certainly like the -110 odds, but the best odds are +2000 and a free $200 cash whether we win or lose! Don’t forget to claim your offer now. Bet $10, Win $200 by signing up for WynnBET now!
