Will Levis talked the talked and walked the walk in a commanding performance

The Kentucky quarterback is always stoked and never afraid to speak his mind and always backs it up. He eats whole bananas and put mayo in coffee and showed the Cards who the superior team was sending downward L’s to the crowd after each score.

Hands down, excuse the pun, this was his best and most complete game of his in a Kentucky uniform.

While the teams didn’t meet last year,  in 2019 Lynn Bowden also gashed the Cardinal defense for four touchdowns while playing quarterback.  Besides Levis and Bowden, there have been five others to record four rushing touchdowns in a game that list includes Benny Snell (twice), Artose Pinner, Moe Williams, Sonny Collins, and Rodger Bird.

His first score was on Kentucky’s opening drive when he darted free for a 29-yard score giving UK a 7-0 lead capping off a 75-yard drive. The Wildcats now have scored a touchdown on their opening possession seven times this season.

He followed with touchdown runs of 7 yards, five yards, and one yard, and before Louisville knew what hit them it was 31-7.

Then we saw the ESPN top 10 highlight dash of the night when he juked and hurdled a Cardinal defender drawing gasps from Big Blue Nation.

What we saw was a confident signal-caller that has grown into an elite quarterback. He didn’t force a single pass or make a questionable decision. He did overthrow a couple of receivers but then no one is perfect.

He was named the Most Valuable Player of the Governors Cup game.
