Kentucky’s offense continues to struggle, but Rodriguez, Robinson deliver

It wasn’t an elegant night once again on the offensive side of the field for Kentucky, but offensive coordinator Liam Coen clearly is sticking with the Kentucky identity of run, run, run.

When you have bulldozers like Chris Rodriguez and Kavoisey Smoke they can pave the way for other great things to happen setting up the big playmakers like Wan’Dale Robinson.

Watching C-Rod carry the ball he was angry and obviously tired of hearing all the talk about his fumbles. He held hard and tight to the pigskin and crushed his way to 99 yards on 19 carries and a 9-yard touchdown.

Smoke carried just four times for 17 yards but was big on throwing blocks.

Levis completed just 7 of 17 passes for 87 yards and another awful interception that could have proved deadly with it being returned to the UK side of the field.

But one pass he did complete was to Robinson who is so explosive that when he sees the endzone it’s all out to get there. Such was the case on his catch, weaving, hurdling, and juking defenders, and raced for a 41-yard touchdown.

Robinson too fed off the energy of the crowd and likened it to Nebraska where he transferred from.

"“That was crazy, that was defiantly one of the best atmospheres I have ever been a part of. Especially coming from Nebraska where they sell out every game, that was probably one of the best atmospheres.”"

There are no words for what the Frankfort, Kentucky superstar can do.
