Left for dead Kentucky has found new life
It wasn’t long ago that the Wildcats were one of the laughing stocks of the college basketball world. Thankfully blue-blooded programs like Duke, Michigan State, Kansas, and North Carolina are also mired in horrendous seasons taking some of the spotlights off entirely.
After winning its first game against Morehead the Wildcats dropped the next six and won the next three as the SEC season began. They proceeded to fall in seven of the next eight games before this three-game win streak.
This was the game that Kentucky needed to steal to find new life heading down the regular-season stretch with three scheduled games remaining. The Wildcats were a 7-point underdog to the Vols.

Right after the game, it was announced that Kentucky’s upcoming game on Tuesday with Texas A&M Tuesday has been canceled due to Covid issues in the Aggie program.
Kenpon had upgraded his prediction and had the Wildcats winning 2 of the final 3 including the next two against Texas A&M and Florida before the season finale against surging Ole Miss but the Rebels are only favored by two points.
Brooks was asked what the feeling is now following three consecutive wins.
"“So now, let’s keep it rolling. Let’s keep the momentum that we’ve got, keep playing this way. Playing hard, believing in each one of our teammates, believing in the coaching staff. Like I said before, everybody needs each other to get it done. So, that’s the feeling right now.”"
That would be a 9-14 overall record and 8-8 in the SEC which would most likely mean a bump up from their current No. 8 conference standing.
Tune in Tuesday at 7 pm to see how this wacky train ride goes. Will it derail again or is the Wildcat express picking up steam.
