Kentucky will meet Nex Mexico State for only the second time in history. The only other meeting was in 2016, the game that essentially ended the Drew Barker era and ushered in Stephen Johnson at Kentucky. The last time the teams played Kentucky pulled away late after looking shaky against the overmatched opponent and won 62-42.
After letting Vandy stick around too long the week prior, Stoops makes sure it’s a week of practice this team won’t forget late in the season. Reigning in their focus as he is so good at doing, Stoops has his team ready to play, and they fire on all cylinders.
The Aggies didn’t field a football team in 2020 so the jury is out on what they will bring to the table, I highly doubt it’s anything that gives Kentucky any trouble. Kentucky has a field day on NMSU and improves to 10-1. Not much you can say about this game besides it’ll be a blowout.
