Outside shooting kept Kentucky in the game

Kentucky was lights-out shooting their 3-ball. The Wildcats drained 14 made 3-pointers which tied them for their third-most in a single game in the Calipari era, and their most since March 1, 2012, where they made 15 against Georgia.

As fate and this season would have it the last time Kentucky made 14 threes and lost was in 1995 to of course – Arkansas.

Calipari was asked about the improved execution in the second half compared to the first half.

"“There was one point in the first half where we didn’t pass the ball and you probably heard me, I as was yelling, loud, “Just pass it to somebody! Pass it! Pass!” We stopped. Well, second half we went back to moving the ball. Pass the ball. Get it to the next guy. Throw it to a guy who is open. How about this? Create a good shot for your teammate. We did a bunch of that today.”"

Boston hit a season-high 4 of 5 from downtown for 17 points to go with 7 rebounds and handed out three assists.

Keion Brooks also was in double figures with 10 points while snaring seven rebounds and averaging 11.8 points per game since missing the first nine games of the season.

Toppin connected on a pair of 3-pointers his first of the year.
