There are times where it feels like Kentucky Basketball does not get credit for their incredible and consistent defense. Teams average 65.8 points per game versus the Cats. In the SEC, the Cats are fourth, giving up only 70 points per game in conference play.

Kentucky basketball leads the league in opponents field goal percentage (38.1% in SEC play) and is ranked 20th in the nation (38.6%).

Tennessee had no luck figuring out the defensive puzzle that the Cats present. Kentucky Basketball held the Vols to 34.5% shooting from the field and 26.9 % from behind the three point line.

The Cats had 6 steals and 3 blocks while out-rebounding Tennessee 33-29.
