Kentucky Basketball used hot shooting and a strong defensive effort to beat Tennessee and end a four-game road losing streak at Thompson-Boling Arena, 77-64.

Winning is never easy. Winning conference games in the SEC is even more difficult. Kentucky Basketball has been the standard for excellence in SEC basketball for a long time. And Tennessee had done something that no one has managed to do this millennium, win 4 straight home games versus the Cats.

On Saturday afternoon, however, Kentucky Basketball used a recipe that has led to success throughout this season to topple Tennessee (13-10, 5-5 in the SEC), improving to 18-5 (8-2 in the SEC).

The Vols’ streak of victories over Kentucky Basketball is over and this game is proof that if you give John Calipari and his Cats 40 minutes, they will show you how to kill a streak in 4 easy steps.
