It’s the day after Christmas and presents have come and gone. Let’s take a look if Kentucky Basketball fans got what they wished for this Christmas, or see why they wound up on the naughty list…

It’s the holiday season, a time of year that does not discriminate, infecting kids from 1 to 92. One that is marked by jubilation, gift-giving, family, and celebrations – Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, to name a few. Regardless of what you celebrate, if anything, this is the season of giving, but more importantly, wishing. Some years we wish for more and others less. But one thing is for sure, we wish for a lot. And if you are a Kentucky Basketball fan, every year you find yourself wishing for more and more, even when you are given less.

This holiday season marks a dire time for Kentucky Basketball fans. The Wildcats sit at a balmy 8-3 record, have a discordant offense, and are one loss away from the worst start in the Calipari era. Coach Cal’s squad has seen back-to-back losses in Sin City, one to a sub-100 Utah squad, a treasure trove of injuries, and even a home loss to an Evansville team that doesn’t even break KenPom’s top-200.

Despite how much and how powerfully you wish for something; what you want isn’t always what you’ll get. That being said, here is one man’s opinion about how well Santa treated the Kentucky Wildcats this season.
