Two Reasons to be excited about Kentucky Basketball’s Las Vegas Trip

Kentucky heads to Las Vegas for a two-game stand against Utah and No. 5 Ohio State. The Wildcats will face the Utah Utes on Wednesday at 11 PM and cap off the weekend against No. 5 Ohio State on Saturday.

Kentucky Basketball heads to Las Vegas to take on Utah and Ohio State. This marks the beginning of the end for the Cats, of non-conference play that is. To cap off a relatively weak non-conference schedule, the Wildcats will begin a grueling gauntlet of Utah, #5 Ohio State, and #3 Louisville before beginning their SEC slate.

There are many reasons to be excited about the Las Vegas trip: potential for success, finding an identity, a chance to climb the polls, as well as giving young players good opportunities to improve.

However, many Kentucky Basketball fans will not be tuning in.

Why? Well, for starters, Wednesday’s game will likely start after 11 PM. Ick.

Here are the two reasons you need to stay up and watch your Wildcats on the west coast… even if Wednesday night will have a midnight halftime.
