Immanuel Quickley is exceeding expectations

Immanuel Quickley, better known as IQ to some, stirred up some pretty big excitement this summer. The guard who returned for a sophomore season honed his skills in the summer with intense workouts and a spiritual reboot. Clearly, all of this worked.

IQ has burst onto the scene and has cemented himself as a crucial piece to the Wildcat’s roster. However, Quickley does so quietly. Amidst a head-turning performance by his counterpart Ashton Hagans, Quickley filled the stat sheet.

Immanuel scored 16 points on 50% shooting, knocking down two threes, swiping three boards, and dishing two assists all to complete an impressive night’s resume. And tonight was not an isolated incident. He has improved in the following categories: minutes played, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, free throw percentage, rebounds, assists, steals, and points.

There is not much more to be said than that. Immanuel devoted massive amounts to get himself better, and because of it, he made his team better. That’s the sign of a leader that can help guide a team well through March.
