Versatility

I’ve listed the Cam’Ron Fletcher measurables before and I’m going to do it again: 6-6, 184, and gunpowder in his shoes. That’s a possibly three-position player. Heck, if he goes to the PJ Tucker School of Toughness maybe he could even line up at the five. Either way, Fletch can jump with the power forwards or zag on the perimeter with the guards. He’s a bouncing glob of versatile athleticism. A little fine-tuning and Calipari can turn Fletch into whatever he wants.

Calipari is the Vincent Van Gogh of player development. Have you seen the tapestry of former Cats in the NBA that sits in the locker room? It’s a masterpiece. Van Gogh is jealous. But, what if you floated Van Gogh out in the middle of the Tyrrhenian Sea with an empty canvas, a bowl of opium, and a beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast? The Louvre would bankrupt itself for that painting.

Fletch has an Amalfi Coast basketball body. Calipari has a blank canvas. Let’s create the crown jewel of the (doing some quick math in my head) 2021 NBA Draft! Or maybe a freakish athlete who dominates college for a couple of seasons. Either is fine with me!

Cal has endless creations and variations of Fletch at his fingertips. The Canvas is blank. Fletch can play the two, three, or four. Or all three! He’s a Joker in a deck of cards. Use him however you like. In a basketball environment (the 21st century) where positionless basketball hijacked the way the game is played, truly positionless players with boundless athleticism and uncut skillsets are gems. We just landed one. After turning Fletch into the number one pick, Calipari can move to the south of France and change his name to Vincent.

(I just linked a Good Will Hunting clip. It’d been too long since I referenced the greatest movie ever created)
