Recruiting season is in full swing for Kentucky Basketball Basketball and John Calipari will get a visit from top-three prospect Jalen Green soon.

According to one stray tweet from KentuckySportsRadio’s Jack Pilgrim, five-star shooting guard and top-three prospect in the 2020 recruiting class, Jalen Green, will pay Kentucky Basketball an official visit sometime in the coming months (or days, who knows):

I’ll save you from chasing your tail on youtube later trying to dig up Jalen Green highlights on YouTube and link a mixtape of his at the bottom, but let me be one of the thousands to say: This kid is ridiculously talented. Five seconds of Green’s tape enthralled me. (Admittedly, I’m a biased onlooker when it comes to analyzing recruiting because I blindly worship kids with Kentucky offers). If Jalen Green was publicly traded on the stock market, I’d be slicing through West Virginia backroads right now on my way to straight to Wall Street so I could personally purchase as many shares of Jalen Green stock as my life savings could buy. I’m that sure Jalen Green is a superstar talent. The recruiting services agree as he’s a consensus top-three prospect in the 2020 class.

As a raw fan, I desperately want Calipari to land Jalen Green. I remember the first time I asked a girl out (it was at a Kentucky basketball game, of course) and the chick had a boyfriend at the time. So yeah, it was a mortifying experience. She said yes and we broke up like four months later. That’s going to be my relationship with Jalen Green. I’ll be a nervous wreck during his recruitment and turn into a puddle when he’s announcing, but if he says yes, I’ll flip another car over. Just like with that girl I dated, Green will enter my life and I’ll adore him for a few months over the winter and then move on. But those few months will be a special companionship that could result in a championship.
