1. John Wall

No, this isn’t in chronological order. John Wall is the best point guard to ever wear a Kentucky uniform. Yes, the 6’4 lightning rod from Raleigh, North Carolina played for one season, but he built a brand for Kentucky Basketball and left an impact far beyond his departure. Without argument, Wall is the coolest Cat of the Calipari era. The moment the curtain opened in 2009 at Big Blue Madness and Wall broke out the “John Wall” dance, he immortalized himself in Kentucky lore. I haven’t even talked about his performance on the basketball court.

Read. Lynn Bowden is Kentucky's Best Player. light

Wall was the best player in college basketball during the 2010 season. He didn’t win the Wooden Award (which holds heavy upperclassmen bias), but Wall was the fastest player in the country, an elite scorer at the rim, and his best offensive quality was his passing. I remember ESPN did a sports science breaking down how scientifically ludicrous it was for Wall to make pinpoint passes while his body moved like a cheetah. His vision is completely blurred, and in the video, it looked like the TV screen had drunk goggles on.

John Wall is the best point guard of the Calipari era. He was the number one pick and there has yet to be another player quite like him. Wall is both a generational talent and a generational personality. One of a kind.

Reasons to Pick John Wall: Wall presents an athletic phenom, defensive bulldog, wicked passer, and an unstoppable force driving to the basket. If you need a jump shot, look elsewhere. Otherwise, Wall is a savant as a lead guard.
