Rajon Rondo

During the 2018 NBA Playoffs, Rondo was a catalyst for an overachieving Pelicans team. Behind defensive safety pin Jrue Holiday and supernova fellow Wildcat Anthony Davis, Rondo was the third most impactful player for New Orleans. A playoff team. That won a playoff series. And in that four-game sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers, Rondo was a rock in the shoe on defense and an ELITE playmaker on offense. Dame Dolla (Lillard’s rap pseudonym) was left with chump change after Rajon was through picking his pockets. And with Davis on the offensive end of the court, Rondo had a pogo stick acrobat to throw lobs to. It really was a dream scenario.

Last season, though, he was dealt into the Laker’s catastrophic hand and forced to share a backcourt with 20-year-old morons (like me) and Kentavius Caldwell-Pope, a product of glaring agency nepotism (he shares an agent with LeBron James). Rondo is not an easy person to get along with in negative circumstances, per multiple reports over the year, so shoving him next to a bunch of young goons who the team valued over the veteran point-guard and former champion despite their level of skill (and clear lack thereof) rubbed Rondo the wrong way.

Needless to say, Rajon is escaping the Los Angeles crisis and will find a new home. But where? Well, again, sorry to be a downer but I have no idea. However, I think there are plenty of teams who could use an astonishingly smart and selfless point guard who plays exceptional defense, is capable of running an offense, and knows how to win. I’ll throw out some possible spots below:

Possible Destinations: Pacers, Spurs, Suns
