4. De’Aaron Fox (2016-17)

De’Aaron Fox was one of the fastest players to ever come through Lexington. So fast, he left his mark on the Kentucky basketball program in just one season before heading to the NBA. All kidding aside, Fox was electric on the basketball court and he comes in at No.4 on the list.

De’Aaron Fox could fly up and down the basketball court, and it was perfect for the offense Calipari wanted to run with his 2016-17 team. With Malik Monk on the outside dropping three-pointers, and Bam Adebayo down low catching lob dunks, Fox was distributing left and right to his teammates.

But Fox wasn’t just a distributed. He could score too. In his one season at UK, Fox averaged 16.7 points per game. Fox scored 20 or more points in 10 games during the 2016-17 season, including an unforgettable 39 point performance against UCLA in the regional semifinal.

Fox was a playmaker, plain and simple. His speed was his biggest weapon, and he used it every chance he got. His abilities landed him in the Top 5 of the NBA Draft, going fifth to the Sacramento Kings.
