The Kentucky basketball team’s season has officially come to a close. Here are my 5″Rushed Reactions” to the final game of the 2017-18 season for the Wildcats.

The Kentucky basketball team’s season has officially come to a close. The Cats lost to Kansas State 61-58 in the Sweet 16, a crushing defeat for BBN. Cal’s squad had a seemingly “easy” road to the Final 4, if only they could defeat Kansas State. The loss was devastating, and these “rushed reactions” are painful to type.

1. PJ Washington from the FT-line

PJ Washington was brutal from the free throw line, shooting 8-20 on the night. For PJ, there’s apparently nothing “free” about unguarded shots from 15 feet away. I feel bad for him, he finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds and absolutely worked his butt off during the game. He simply could not step to the line and knock down free throws when UK needed him to.

If he was able to shoot 65% from the line, UK wins this game rather easily. Credit Kansas State though, they forced PJ to beat them from the FT line rather than at the rim, and it worked for them. Still, Big Blue Nation should appreciate the effort of PJ and what he did to even keep UK in the game.
