2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the man

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with well over 20 points, and it’s because he’s unstoppable. He played at his best today, and that means he was able to make shots outside the paint. SGA knocked down multiple three-point shots and also connected on mid-range jumpers.

As BBN is accustomed to seeing, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also got to the rim and finished with each hand. He really is practically unstoppable in most respects. When he’s able to knock down perimeter shots, which is his main offensive “weakness”, I label him as unguardable.

Gilgeous-Alexander is simply too good at getting into the paint, getting to the free-throw line, and playing composed. I think Big Blue Nation should realize that SGA could be compared to former Kentucky basketball player Tyler Ulis…that is, of course, if Ulis had more size. Tyler Ulis was a big crowd favorite for BBN, and Gilgeous-Alexander should be as well.
