3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was clutch again

My initial reaction for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was his performance from the free-throw line. Gilgeous-Alexander stepped to the free throw line time and time again down the stretch for the Cats. And time after time, Shai made his free-throws.

Big Blue Nation saw in the SEC tournament, and most of the season, that GIlgeous-Alexander was the go-to guy for heroics when the Cats needed a bucket. Whether it was getting to the rim, making the right pass, or hitting a jumper, BBN had faith in SGA.

Tonight’s game was no different; SGA made defensive plays, grabbed rebounds, got to the rim and iced the game at the free throw line. Shai missed only one shot at the foul line. I’ve been very clear about my high opinion of SGA this season, and tonight’s game is further proof that he’s a UK star.
