Kentucky basketball: 5 rushed reactions vs. Georgia in SEC Tournament
2. More chances for Sacha Killeya-Jones
Today’s game was a great opportunity for Sacha Killeya-Jones. As always, and still a mystery to most of BBN, Nick Richards started for Kentucky. Richards didn’t last long though, and soon enough SKJ entered the game.
While he was far from a dominant force in the game, SKilleya-Jones played well. He didn’t do enough to earn a starting position, but he showed he belongs on the floor. Nick Richards, love him or hate him, simply looks out of place on the court. Worst of all, it’s painfully clear that Richards has completely lost confidence.
SKJ was able to come in and play valuable minutes, helping the Kentucky basketball team to victory. He guarded well, he rebounded better than Richards, and he aggressively pursued loose balls. I have always wondered why SKJ doesn’t get more opportunities. I really think with his athleticism and shooting ability, he can be a great player for UK if he just gets more time and becomes more comfortable on the floor.
