2. Stopping Chris Chiozza

Chris Chiozza is the straw that stirs the drink for Florida. The senior guard is averaging 11.1 points, 6.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds. Chiozza also snags nearly 2 steals per game and the 6’0″ point guard is a solid defender. Against Kentucky back in January, Chiozza had 13 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.

Kentucky cannot allow Chiozza to have a similar game in the O-Dome on Senior Day. Chiozza is not only a great player, but he’s a great leader. He’s not Florida’s leading scorer, but you don’t have to lead your team in points to be the best leader on the floor.

The Gators are a veteran team with experienced guard play. With Chiozza and fellow senior Egor Koulechov along with Florida’s leading scorer, junior Jalen Hudson, the Gators are loaded in the backcourt.

Hamidou Diallo has played better defense of late, and will need to be on top of his game to help SGA and Green keep Florida in check. Look for Coach Cal to continue to play the man-to-man defense he’s utilized of late to help slow down the Florida attack of Chiozza and his running mates.
