Kentucky basketball: Game preview, 3 keys vs Arkansas
By Drew Koch
UK is traveling west to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. Can the Kentucky basketball team upset the Hogs at home?
The Kentucky basketball team stopped their losing streak at 4 last weekend against Alabama. The Cats defeated the Crimson Tide 81-71. Now the Wildcats face another challenger, the Arkansas Razorbacks. Will UK win back-to-back games from the first time since January 31st? Or will Mike Anderson’s uptempo offense be too much for these young Cats?
Arkansas presents a lot of problems for UK. They have senior leadership in the backcourt, a talented freshman up front, and an efficient offensive attacks. In conference play, Coach Anderson’s bunch No.1 in field goal percentage and No. 2 in points.
Kentucky’s win over Alabama on Saturday proved that these Wildcats can compete against the better teams in the SEC. Come on, they had Auburn on the ropes, led the Aggies at halftime and only lost by 2 to Tennessee. This team is talented, they just seem to have difficulty putting it all together.
The bench dominated with 39 of Kentucky’s 81 points, and I expect more of the same on Tuesday night. If Kentucky can share the ball, control the boards and limit Arkansas’ transition buckets, they have a great opportunity to emerge victorious against the Hogs.
