Kentucky basketball: 3 keys vs Vandy, prediction, game info

2. Can SGA dominate Vandy again?
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had one of his best games of the year against Vanderbilt earlier this month. The freshman guard dropped 22 points during the Cats’ visit to Nashville. He also had 6 assists in 39 minutes of play.
Obviously, with Quade Green back in the lineup, Gilgeous-Alexander won’t have to shoulder all the point guard duties. Green’s minutes have increased in the 3 games since his return. Against West Virginia, Green played 27 minutes off the bench. That’s up from the 20 minutes played against Mississippi State and 17 versus Florida.
Green’s presence will only help SGA. It gives Gilgeous-Alexander another perimeter threat to pass to and another ball handler to give Gilgeous-Alexander a breather. Shai is still handling the majority of the responsibilities at the point guard position, but Green’s increasing role gives Cal options. Especially if one of his lead guards gets into foul trouble.
