1. Can Knox stay hot?

I think every Kentucky basketball fan had been waiting all year for the performance Kevin Knox delivered on Saturday night. In the Cats’ biggest game of the season, the prized recruit from the class of 2017 had his best outing to date. Knox dropped 34 points on the road against the West Virginia Mountaineers. He was 5-of-8 from behind the arc.

Knox scored 19 of his 34 in the second half, and helped the Wildcats overcome a 15-point halftime deficit. But, while the performance was fantastic, let’s not act like we’re shocked he could do it. In fact, I think Big Blue Nation has been dying to see Knox assert himself as the player on the team.

BBN is hoping that Knox’s career-high against WVU carries over to another top-notch performance against Vandy. So far this season, Knox has shown a propensity to follow up a great game with a not so great outing the next time out on the court. He followed a 16 point, 11 rebound game against LSU with a 6 point effort against Tennessee. His 21-point performance against South Carolina  precluded a 9-point game against Florida. Knox needs to string together a couple of good, consistent performances. Tuesday against Vanderbilt is a great opportunity.
