Kentucky basketball: 3 keys vs Vandy, TV/ radio, prediction

1. How healthy is Kentucky going into Nashville?
The Kentucky basketball team really missed Quade Green on Tuesday against Texas A&M. Not that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can’t handle the starter’s role in the backcourt, but the Cats lack depth at the guard position. Gilgeous-Alexander played 39 minutes against Aggies and Brad Calipari even played meaningful minutes Tuesday night in Rupp.
Gilgeous-Alexander had an outstanding all-around game. The freshman guard had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Where the Cats really struggled without Green was at the charity stripe. Kentucky shot 64.7% from the free throw line against the Aggies.
PJ Washington missed two crucial foul shots that could’ve put the game away and Kevin Knox had a terrible turnover late against the Aggies. Those mistakes almost cost UK the victory. The Cats need Green to be healthy to help be a calming presence on the floor late in games.
