1. PJ Washington was a BEAST

PJ Washington had a great first half. He was scoring at will, blocking shots and grabbing rebounds. The kid had himself a night. Washington was the physical presence Kentucky needed in the paint. He was the vocal and emotional leader the Kentucky Wildcats needed in a hostile environment. I’ve been waiting, almost patiently, for this version of PJ Washington to show up. He has been one of the more underwhelming Wildcats this season, but so far in SEC play he has looked like a beast. It was very unfortunate for Kentucky that Washington wasn’t able to play much in the second half. I don’t know if the outcome would have been different if Washington was fully available, but Calipari was forced to play a couple players that should NOT have been on the floor due to Washington’s absence.
