2, Wenyen Gabriel MUST be on the floor

Wenyen Gabriel’s name should not be mentioned alongside Demarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, John Wall and Devin Booker. But for this season’s team, Gabriel is an incredibly important piece to the puzzle. Gabriel rebounds on both ends of the floor, deflects passes and disrupts the passing lanes. He can shoot from the perimeter and guard all five spots on the defensive end. His energy and effort on both ends of the floor is relentless.

Wenyen is the most experienced player on the team and also the most vocal presence on the floor. Whether he starts or not is totally Calipari’s decision. But starter or not, he must be on the floor for at least 25 minutes in order for the Cats to be successful in conference play.
