3. How healthy is Hamidou Diallo?
Hamidou Diallo is without question the most explosive player on the Kentucky Wildcats. Unfortunately, Diallo appeared to injure his right leg early in second half against Louisville. The redshirt freshman exited the game, however, he came back about 4 minutes later. Diallo continued his stellar play until a fast break dunk attempt ended with Diallo coming up lame again.
Diallo is averaging 15.3 points per game and has been UK’s most important player over the past several games. He brings an energy to the lineup and his athleticism is off the charts. The Wildcats need Diallo at full strength as they enter conference play. The time off between games is not what the Cats have been used to over the past several weeks. A healthy Hamidou Diallo is essential to Kentucky’s success.
