2. Yante Maten

Yante Maten is a load. The 6’8″ senior for the Georgia Bulldogs has the potential to cause some major problems for the Kentucky front court. Maten has scored 20 or more points in the last 4 games, including a 30 point performance against Temple.

In the SEC, Maten is second in scoring to only Collin Sexton of Alabama, with 20.2 points per game. Maten’s size allows him to score easily from inside and he is shooting 40.7% from downtown. The Kentucky Wildcats struggled with UCLA’s Thomas Welsh and Maten possesses a similar skill set. If the Cats can keep Maten below his season average of 20 points, they have a very good chance to come out the victor on Sunday night.
