Kentucky Wildcats vs Georgia Bulldogs: 3 keys, TV/radio, prediction
By Drew Koch
1. Will the real Kevin Knox please stand up?
Kevin Knox is arguably Kentucky’s most talented player. Foul trouble against Louisville prevented Knox from having much of an impact. The talented freshman played only 17 minutes before fouling out of the game. Knox was 2-of-8 in the game and finished with 8 points.
Fortunately the Kentucky Wildcats didn’t need their star to play his best during Friday’s match up with the Cardinals. However, that won’t be the case as the Cats enter SEC play. The most troubling stat as of late is Knox’s perimeter shooting. Knox is 9-for-35 (26%) from beyond the arc. Several of those attempts have been uncontested.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Hamidou Diallo have shown an ability to lead the Kentucky Wildcats, as has Quade Green. They’ve provided a cushion for Knox when he’s not playing his best game. That being said, Knox must increase his productivity in order for the Cats to reach their maximum potential.
