2. 2012 – Final Four UK 69 UofL 61

The Wildcats had already defeated the Cardinals months earlier on New Year’s Eve in Rupp Arena. If Kentucky wanted to win the National Championship, they were going to have to go through Louisville. Anthony Davis, the National Player of the Year, dominated the Cardinals. Davis played 39 of a possible 40 minutes and finished with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. The Cardinals shot poorly in the second half and UK senior Darius Miller’s 13 points helped fuel the Cats win. Kentucky defeated Louisville 69-61 and the Wildcats would go on to win the National Championship over Kansas.
