The Wildcats, ranked No. 5 in the nation, came in to Freedom Hall looking to knock off Denny Crumm’s Cardinals for the fifth year in the row. Tick Rogers nailed two pressure free throws with 37 seconds remaining to put the Cardinals up by three. On the ensuing possession freshman center Samaki Walker rejected a turnaround jumper in the lane by Jeff Sheppard for his tenth block of the game.
