Kenneth Horsey, a 3-star offensive lineman from Florida, has committed to play football for the Wildcats. Joining him Tuesday was defensive lineman Jerquavion Mahone from Georgia.

The Kentucky football team received a huge boost on Tuesday with additions to both their offensive and defensive lines. Kenneth Horsey of Sanford, Florida and Jerquavion Mahone of Manchester, Georgia both committed to play for the Cats in 2018.

Horsey, a 6’4″ 315-pound offensive lineman, is a 3-star recruit as ranked at Rivals.com. The Wildcats offered Horsey a scholarship back in November. He made his official visit to Kentucky late last week. Horsey was also recruited by Central Florida, South Florida, Mississippi State and Missouri among others.

Horsey will join an already talented recruiting class of offensive linemen. The Cats have received a verbal commitment from Rivals.com 4-star offensive lineman Marquand McCall and 3-star offensive lineman Darian Kinnard.

Mahone is a 6’3″300 pound defensive tackle. He was recruited heavily by Kentucky’s defensive coordinator Matt House. Mahone also had offers from Jacksonville State and Tennessee.

The additions of Horsey and Mahone bring Kentucky’s recruiting class to 20 players. The Wildcats are still very much in play for wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis. Jacques-Louis has narrowed his list down to three. Those schools include Kentucky, Tennessee and Pittsburgh.

Jacques-Louis committed to UK earlier this year, but withdrew his commitment during the summer. After most recently committing and later de-committing from Tennessee, Jacques-Louis could land back in Lexington.

The Kentucky football team made a pair of splashes on Tuesday snagging commitments from Horsey and Mahone. With the recruiting season in full swing, the Cats are hoping to land some more talented young men to help lead their team into the future.
