Will UK Become the 3rd SEC Basketball Team to Lose?

Will Kentucky become the 3rd SEC basketball team to lose to a mid-major this week?
This weekend the Kentucky Wildcats play Monmouth in the inaugural Citi Hoops Classic at Madison Square Garden. Florida lost to Loyola-Chicago on Wednesday night. Another SEC basketball team, the Vanderbilt Commodores, fell to Middle Tennessee at home. Will the Wildcats fall victim to the Hawks on Saturday afternoon?
The SEC has taken some lumps this week. Florida got the ball rolling on Monday night when the Gators were dominated by in-state rival Florida State at home 83-66. The No. 5 Gators followed up that performance with another loss in The Swamp. Loyola-Chicago went into the O’Connell Center and upset 65-59.
To Vanderbilt’s credit, they have played a difficult schedule to start the season. The Commodores suffered some tough losses early to No. 10 USC and No. 20 Seton Hall. But, a loss at home to Middle Tennessee is another black mark for the SEC. Vanderbilt lost to the Blue Raiders 66-63 at Memorial Gymnasium, bringing their record to 3-6 with 3 losses at home.
Earlier in the week, yet another SEC team lost as well. Texas A&M fell to Arizona 67-64 in Phoenix. In the Aggies defense, Arizona was the preseason No. 3 team in the AP Poll and have the likely No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, Deandre Ayton.
Will the Wildcats become the 3rd SEC team this week to lose to a mid-major school this week? Monmouth only has three wins on the season, but the Hawks have won the MAAC regular season championship the past two seasons. Kentucky better stay focused on Saturday at MSG if they want to run their win streak to six games.
