The 2017-2018 Kentucky Basketball squad is one of the most talked about teams already this season. Who will be their toughest out in the SEC?

Give credit where credit is due. The SEC is slowly becoming a conference that deserves a bit more respect than it gets. For years, Kentucky Basketball ran the SEC Basketball league just like Alabama has been running the SEC Football league.

Now, the conference has beefed up it’s coaching hires and recruiting is at an all time high. Starting in 2017, there will be three teams who will get the opportunity to put a five star freshman on the floor. Kentucky will obviously lead the way with a total of six five star freshman on the team. That is in addition to the two five star players they have returning in Sacha Killeya-Jones and Wenyen Gabriel.

With the influx of great talent headed into the SEC there are a few candidates that may take the crown as the biggest threats to the Kentucky Wildcats.
