4. Blue Smith does not want to play tight end

Urban Meyer has apparently told Smith that if he were to add weight, and get bigger,  that a move to tight end was inevitable. Kentucky has made it clear to Smith that’s will be recruited as a wide receiver and will play wide receiver.

This is a bigger issue than some may think. Smith knows that if he were to commit to OSU, he could be moved to tight end at any time, and he doesn’t want that. Kentucky is set at the tight end position for quite some time. Currently CJ Conrad and Greg Hart hold down the position. The future of the tight end position rests in the hands of Brenden Bates and Keaton Upshaw. Both are 2018 commits and would arrive to campus at the same time as Smith.

Blue Smith’s lead recruiter, Vince Marrow coaches tight ends at Kentucky. The man knows a few things about tight ends and if Marrow isn’t pitching the move, then thats a plus for Kentucky in the #GetBlueInBlue campaign.
